It
was a lovely day at Yugumbir State School rainforest. The sun was
shining, the grass was green, there were beautiful flowers everywhere and
not a cloud in the sky. There was a blue tongued lizard named Blue and
a kookaburra named Alfred.
One day Blue was taking a nap after lunch. But
he couldn't sleep because Alfred was singing so loudly that you could hear
him from the other side of the rainforest. Blue tried so hard to ignore
Alfred's singing. He even tried putting leaves in his ears, but it was
no use. Alfred just kept on singing louder and louder.
Blue got so angry because he couldn't go to sleep. He walked right up to Alfred and asked him to be quiet. But Alfred sang so loudly that he couldn't hear blue speak to him. Just then the kookaburra lost his voice for two days. And from that point on he never sang so long or so loudly ever again. And Blue could sleep at last. By Melissa from Yugumbir State School. |
